A Series of Unfortunate World Events

Preparations are officially underway for the 21st Anniversary party at the Otori Clan Hall, but for some reason, all of the Kingdom's past world events have decided to collide right now in a massive smorgasbord of chaos. You’ll run into famous names from KoL's history, but you'll also be diving into completely new questlines that tie this whole mess together. Your goal is to navigate the Kingdom, finish quests, and get everyone back in one piece to celebrate the anniversary.

So What Is It Exactly?

It's a full-fledged, text-based browser game. You register, play alongside your regular KoL account, and earn real KoL items for your efforts.. and the loot pool is huge. There are over 220,000 items hidden in the game worth over 3.5 billion Meat, plus two extra-special, mall-extinct items that are so rare we can't even put a price on them. There are almost 800 unique adventures and multiple different puzzles and quests to encounter.

How to Play

To get started, just send a KMail or PM to WorldEvents with the exact word WorldEvents. Our bot will reply with a unique password linked to your KoL username. Please do not use your actual KoL password to try to log in anywhere! Only use the password the bot sends you. If you ever lose your password, just resend WorldEvents to the bot and it will send you it again.

You can play the game over at https://worldevents.scheijan.net/

There will be no downtime for rollover, you will just see extra adventures appear.
The game will run for two weeks, or until all the major prizes have been found (whichever takes longer).
You'll get 60 adventures per day to spend. If you pre-register, your unused adventures can roll over up to a maximum of 200 (sound familiar?). But if you register late, you'll just start with the standard 60, so definitely get your registration in early.

We are launching on August 15th 2026, at 12:00 PM GMT, and rollover will happen at 12:00 PM GMT every day.

The Rules

The biggest rule is strictly one account per player, with no exceptions. We are actively checking for multi-abuse, and anyone caught will get a permanent ban from every current and future Otori contest. Please don't ruin the fun for everyone else. If you attempt to play our game with multiple accounts with the intention of sending items to your main in Kol, you are also risking a ban there. Don't do it.

Community spading is allowed and even encouraged! Just keep in mind that the best prizes go to whoever finishes certain activities first. Also, please try to be mindful of overt spoilers for folks who want to figure things out themselves.

Most of your prizes will be sent by our bot in near real-time. But for the very expensive prizes, we'll be doing manual verification to make sure no shenanigans took place. That means there will be a small delay on the big prizes, so again, cheating really isn't worth the hassle. If any issues are found, the prizes will roll down to the next person to complete the activity.

Players are only eligible to win one of the super special prizes, so if by some miracle the same person finishes both activities first, the second super special prize will roll down to the 2nd person to complete the task.

Tips And Tricks

Check out both Otori Halls locations first. It's very important that you do.

You'll get the travel adventure to move to other regions way before you finish the quest in your current area (unless the RNG really, really hates you). It's completely up to you whether to stay or move on. Since the best prizes goes to the first finishers, moving on early might give you a serious tactical edge at winning the prizes hidden in different areas.

You can complete quests in any order, and you have a trusty quest log, use it if you get stuck! Also, RNG is very much a thing here. Just like real KoL, you might just get unlucky sometimes. During all of my repeated runs testing the game, there was at least 1 area each run where the RNG decided to actively work against me.

There is a quest giver in each location. It should be pretty obvious which location contains it based on logic, but if you aren't sure adventure in each place until you get given a quest.

Even if the first prize has been won, the prizes for finishing the quest lines are still worth it.

There are semi-rares, rares, super-rares and ultra-rares hidden in every single zone.

In the Crimbo Multiverse, there are 4 special adventures which take you to another location in the Crimbo Multiverse due to the way the quest design had to work. You'll know it when you see it, this is the only place where 'adventure again' won't take you to the place you were previously. Just go back to the map.
