A Celebration of the Kingdom
Otori Week began in August 2005 as a clan-led celebration marking the founding of Clan Otori, one of KoL’s most enduring and community-focused groups. The event was conceived by clan founder ashamalee (#89522) as a way to give back to the player base and showcase Otori’s values: humility, loyalty, and light-hearted generosity.
The first Otori Week featured a series of contests, giveaways, and buffbot promotions, distributing hundreds of millions of meat to players across the Kingdom. It quickly became a fixture in the KoL calendar, known for its festive tone and inclusive spirit.
In recognition of Otori Week’s impact, KoL creator Jick designed a custom item: the Otorian Battle Scar. This unique accessory was awarded to contest winners and notable contributors during the event. It remains one of the few clan-specific items ever created in KoL.
